Latest news about entry to Indonesia

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia temporarily prohibits foreigners from entering/transiting the Indonesian Territory.

Who can enter Indonesia?

Indonesian citizens.
Holders of lawful and valid Visa and/or Residence Permits will be allowed to enter Indonesia at designated immigration border controls referring to the health protocol.
Such Visa or Residence Permits consist of:
Official visa
Diplomatic visa
Visit visa
Temporary Stay Visa
Official Residence Permit
Diplomatic Residence Permit
Temporary Stay Permit
Permanent Stay Permit
Crew members arriving by their own transports.
Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Travel Card holder (ABTC)
Traditional Border Crossing pass/card holder will be allowed to enter Indonesia. 
Transport operators must ensure every passenger providing a valid declaration of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) with a negative result.

What visa can I apply to enter?

-Visit Visa will be granted to foreinger with a single-entry visa (B211) for the following purposes:

an emergency and essential work;
a business meeting;
purchase of goods;
a probationary period for foreign workers;
a medical, food, and humanitarian aid worker; and
a crew member who joins the vessel in Indonesia.
-Temporary stay visa will be granted to foreigeners for a work activity and/or non-work activity.

Temporary stay visa for the work activity is granted to a foreign worker:
as a professional or expert;
who joins to work on ships, on vessels, or installations operating in the Indonesian maritime zone, territorial sea, continental shelf, and Indonesian Exclusive Economic Zone;
whose job is quality control of goods or products;
who conducts workplace inspections and audit;
whose work with an aftersales service;
who installs and repairs machine;
with a non-permanent work in constructions;
with a probationary period for skilled works.
Temporary stay visa for the non-work activity is granted to a foreigner for:
a foreign investment;
a family reunion;
retirement travel.
Free visa facility and visa on arrival (VOA) are temporarily suspended until the Covid-19 pandemic is declared over by a ministry or agency mitigating the Covid-19 outbreak.

 

What are health requirements to enter Indonesia?

Foreign nationals (selected) will be allowed to enter the Indonesian Territory under following requirements:

a. health certificate in English from health authorities in their country;
b. have been 14 (fourteen) days in regions/countries that are free of the Covid-19 virus;
c. a consent letter to do a self-quarantine for 14 (fourteen) days in a designated place arranged by the government of the Republic of Indonesia.

 

Can I travel through Airprots, Seaports, and National Border Crossing Stations?

International airports and international seaports in Indonesia remain open for essential travels (subject to travel restrictions policy), inbound and outbound freight.

OFFSHORE VISA APPLICATION

Offshore Visa application for a foreign national can be made by a Sponsor electronically through ONLINE VISA APPROVAL APPLICATION. The Visa granting is limited to Visitor Visa and Temporary Stay Visa for specific activities, such as:

Visitor Visa (B211A, B211B, B211C) for:

an emergency and essential work;
a business meeting;
purchase of goods;
a probationary period for foreign workers;
a medical, food, and humanitarian aid worker; and
a crew member who joins the vessel in Indonesia.
Temporary Stay Visa/VITAS for:

as a professional or expert;

Requirements to apply for a Visa through ONLINE VISA APPROVAL APPLICATION are:

a sponsor letter;
foreign national’s passport biodata page;
tickets for entering/exiting the Indonesian territory;
Bank passbook/current account (for Visitor Visa application it is required for Sponsors to demonstrate that they have sufficient funds of at least US$10,000 to support the foreign nationals living expenses during stay in Indonesia).
a health certificate in English declaring a free from Covid-19 by a competent authority at their home country;
a declaration letter in English consented to do a mandatory self-isolation or undertake a medical treatment at an accommodation or a designated health facility by the Indonesian government at the traveler’s own expense when a PCR check upon arrival by the health authority at ports of entry results in a positive with the Covid-19 or with symptoms in accordance with the health protocol and provisions of law and regulations.
a consent letter to be monitored during the quarantine or self-isolation in accordance with the health protocol and provisions of law and regulations.
health insurance or travel insurance covering medical expenses, and/or a declaration letter of medical treatment at own expenses, if contracted with the Covid-19 during their stay in Indonesia.

ONSHORE VISA APPLICATION

A Sponsor of a foreign national who currently resides in Indonesia can apply for a visa (onshore) through ONLINE VISA APPROVAL APPLICATION to obtain a Visa Approval for a Visitor Visa or Temporary Stay Visa. Granting the Visa will be done electronically as e-Visa.
The Visa Approval for Visitor Visa is also valid as a Stay Permit.
Foreign national who has been granted a Visa Approval for a Temporary Stay Visa must report to a local immigration office for biometric collection and Stay Permit stamp.

通过网上签证审批申请签证的要求是：

 

赞助信；

外国人护照生物资料页；

出入印度尼西亚领土的门票；

银行存折/活期账户（申请访客签证时，担保人需证明其至少有10000美元的资金足以支付外国人在印尼期间的生活费用）。

由本国主管当局出具的英文健康证明，声明无Covid-19；

当卫生当局到达入境口岸时进行的PCR检查结果为Covid-19呈阳性或出现症状时，同意在印度尼西亚政府指定的住宿或指定的医疗机构进行强制性自我隔离或进行医疗治疗，费用由旅行者自担根据卫生协议和法律法规的规定。

根据卫生协议和法律法规的规定，在检疫或自我隔离期间接受监测的同意书。

健康保险或旅行保险，包括医疗费用，和/或自费医疗声明书，如果在印度尼西亚期间感染新冠

 

在岸签证申请

 

目前居住在印度尼西亚的外国公民的担保人可以通过在线签证审批申请申请签证（在岸），以获得访问签证或临时居留签证的签证批准。签证的发放将以电子方式进行。

游客签证的签证批准也作为停留许可有效。

获得临时居留签证签证批准的外国公民必须向当地移民局申报生物特征收集和居留许可章。

 

 

Covid-19

Information on immigration regulations during the Covid-19 Pandemic

In response to the Covid-19 outbreak, DGI is updating the immigration clearance measures at borders for travellers who enter and leave Indonesia by applying the health protocols to curb the spread of the virus.

ENTRY INTO AND DEPARTURE FROM INDONESIA: HEALTH PROTOCOLS

  1. Travellers must wear their face mask upon the immigration clearance unless otherwise required. 
  2. Travellers must provide a valid HEALTH ALERT CARD and present it to the border agents. 
  3. Travellers must always practice a phyisical distancing (1.5 meters) in public for everyone\'s safety and security. 
  4. Travellers must wash your hand regularly with soap and water or hand sanitizer.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS INTO INDONESIA

  1. Foreign passport holders must prepare the legal and valid passport or travel documents (at least 6 months validity prior to date of expiry). 
  2. Foreign passport holders must hold a valid Indonesian visa. (See BORDER CLOSURES AND EXCEPTION )
  3. At Bali airport, foreign passport holders must scan your fingerprints and face photo for a biometric data collection. 
  4. Free visa facility and Visa on Arrival are not available during the Covid-19 pandemic.     
  5. You must prepare your KITAS/KITAP (for PR holder), or Affidavit Card (for any Children of Dual Citizenship subject).
  6. Crew members must hold a crew member certificate and fill out the arrival and departure crew card.
  7. At selected airports, Indonesian passport holders can use the Autogate (automatic border control) - Please ask our officers!
  8. Provided lines for an arrival immigration clearance: 
    1. Line for Indonesian Passports, Permanent Residence (KITAS/KITAP) holders.
    2. Line for Diplomatic/ Service Passports, ABTC Holders.
    3. Line for Foreign Passport Holders with Visit Visa, Work Visa, Student Visa, another visa.
    4. Line for Persons with Disability (Wheelchair)
    5. Line for Airline Crew Members.

EXIT REQUIREMENTS FROM INDONESIA

      1. Foreign passport holders must prepare the legal and valid passport or travel documents (at least 6 months validity prior to date of expiry).
      2. You must prepare your KITAS/KITAP (for PR holder), or ABTC (for card holder), or Affidavit Card (for any Children of Dual Citizenship subject).
      3. Crew members must hold a crew member certificate and fill out the departure crew card.
      4. At selected airports, Indonesian passport holders can use the Autogate (automatic border control) - Please ask our officers!
      5. At Bali airport, eligible foreign passport holders can use the Autogate (automatic border control) - Please ask our officers!
      6. Provided lines for a departure immigration clearance: 
        1. Line for Indonesian Passports, Permanent Residence (KITAS/KITAP) holders.
        2. Line for Diplomatic/ Service Passports, ABTC Holders.
        3. Line for Foreign Passport Holders with Visit Visa, Work Visa, Student Visa, another visa.
        4. Line for Persons with Disability (Wheelchair)
        5. Line for Airline Crew Members.
      7. What happen if I overstay?
        • If you overstay (you stay more than the length of stay decided), you must pay for penalty. It is fined Rp1.000.000/day/person. If you overstay for 5 days, you must pay the fine Rp5.000.000/person (5 days x Rp1.000.000). If you overstay 60 days, you must pay the fine as much Rp1.000.000 x 60 days. Otherwise, you are sent to a detention room for further legal measures.
        • But, if you overstay for more than 60 days, you are deported, and prohibited to enter Indonesia territory (Immigration Administrative Action) for at least 6 months.
        • You will proceed to a further inspection at the interview room and pay off the overstay penalty (with a penalty receipt).

如果我逾期了怎么办？
如果你逾期逗留（你逗留的时间超过了确定的停留时间），你必须支付罚款。罚款1000.000卢比/天/人。如果您逾期5天，您必须支付每人5.000.000卢比的罚款（5天x 1000.000卢比）。如果您逾期60天，您必须支付Rp1.000.000 x 60天的罚款。否则，你将被送到拘留室接受进一步的法律措施。

但是，如果您逾期超过60天，您将被驱逐出境，并被禁止进入印度尼西亚领土（移民行政行动）至少6个月。

Information on immigration regulations during the Covid-19 Pandemic

VISITOR STAY PERMIT

1. Foreign nationals holding a Visitor Stay Permit from:

    1. Visa on Arrival
    2. Single-entry Visitor Visa (B211A, B211B, B211C)
    3. Multiple-entry Visitor Visa (D212)
    4. APEC Business Travel Card

     can extend their Stay Permit through ONLINE STAY PERMIT APPLICATION or to local immigration offices.

3. Each extension will be granted a 30-day Stay Permit

4. Visitor Stay Permit from Visa on Arrival and Single-entry Visitor Visa can be converted into Temporary Stay Permit.

 

TEMPORARY STAY PERMIT

  1. Foreign nationals holding a Temporary Stay Permit or Permanent Stay Permit who has been granted an Emergency Stay Permit residing in Indonesia can apply for an extension subject to their substantive Temporary Stay Permit or Permanent Stay Permit.
  2. Extended Temporary Stay Permit as referred to in section (1) can be changed to a Permanent Stay Permit in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.
  3. Foreign nationals holding a Temporary Stay Permit or Permanent Stay Permit, which is not eligible for further extensions in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations, can be granted a new Stay Permit after their Visa Approval is issued.
  4. Onshore Visa application can be made through ONLINE VISA APPROVAL APPLICATION by a Sponsor of a foreign national.

 

RE-ENTRY PERMIT

  1. Foreign nationals holding an expired Temporary Stay Permit, an expired Permanent Stay Permit, or an expired Re-Entry Permit of a Permanent Stay Permit while staying outside Indonesian territory must apply for a new visa to enter Indonesia.
  2. Onshore Visa application can be made through ONLINE VISA APPROVAL APPLICATION by a Sponsor of a foreign national.

再入境许可证

 

持有过期临时居留许可证、过期永久居留许可证或过期永久居留许可证再入境许可证的外国公民在印度尼西亚境外逗留时，必须申请新的签证进入印度尼西亚。
